Mental Performance Coaching
Please note: Coaching is distinct from therapy. It’s a non-clinical, action-oriented process focused on performance, mindset, and sustainable growth. If deeper emotional concerns arise, we’ll explore whether a therapeutic approach is more appropriate. I’m trained in both and will always help ensure the right fit for your goals.
How Coaching Works
Real growth happens in the moments most people overlook—in the grind, not just the glory. Whether you’re leading a team, performing on stage, or competing on the field, sustainable success isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about showing up, adapting, and staying committed to the process—especially when it’s uncomfortable.
This work is focused on mastering the mental game—building the habits, mindset, and systems that keep you sharp under pressure. It’s not a one-size-fits-all model. It’s a personalized, whole-person process that integrates performance psychology, neuroscience, and counseling to address every angle—from managing stress and recovery to strengthening relationships and sharpening focus.
But insight alone isn’t the goal—action is. Everything we explore is designed to shift how you think, perform, lead, and live. Whether we work together short- or long-term, the goal is the same: sustainable growth, on your terms.
The Initial Meeting: Building a Foundation
Our first session sets the tone. We clarify what you're aiming to achieve, what might be holding you back, and how to move forward. This is also where we build trust and assess fit.
Whether in person or over Zoom, I take time to understand your performance context—your demands, values, stressors, and goals. I may use mental performance assessments, observe you in action (on the field, in the boardroom, or on stage), or speak with key collaborators (coaches, colleagues, team leaders) to get a 360° view of your world.
From there, we’ll lay the groundwork for a strategy that aligns with your needs, strengths, and aspirations.
Developing a Game Plan: Strategic & Adaptive
Once we’ve gathered insight, we’ll co-create a plan. This isn’t a prescriptive formula—it’s a collaboration. You bring the lived experience. I bring an integrative, evidence-based approach rooted in sport psychology, neuroscience, and clinical depth.
We’ll set ambitious but realistic goals and apply practical tools tailored to your context. But this isn’t a static plan—it evolves as you do. As new challenges and opportunities emerge, we’ll refine the process to keep you progressing with intention.
Ongoing Work: Practice, Feedback, Growth
With the plan in motion, we shift from planning to execution. I provide structured support, real-time feedback, and space for honest reflection. Sessions are grounded, challenging, and designed to keep you aligned with your goals.
The key to growth is consistency—not just in performance, but in how you engage with the work. When you show up fully, apply the tools, and stay accountable, the process becomes a catalyst for real, sustainable change—in how you think, compete, lead, and live.
