ABOUT THE WORK
What do you do, exactly?
I work with high-stakes performers and leaders to build the mental and behavioral systems that hold under pressure. This is performance consulting and coaching—not therapy or clinical counseling.
Who is this for?
Professional athletes, executives and founders, medical and tactical professionals, and elite competitive performers who want durable gains—not hype or quick fixes.
How is this different from therapy?
Therapy treats mental health conditions and involves diagnosis. My work is non-clinical and focused on performance under pressure: clarity, execution, recovery, leadership.
My clinical training informs my perspective—it's not the service here. If clinical care is the better path, I'll say so and help you find it.
What if I'm not sure whether I need performance work or therapy?
We'll figure it out together in the discovery call. My clinical training helps me recognize when someone needs therapeutic support rather than performance consulting. If that's the case, I'll help you find appropriate resources. Either way, you'll have clarity on the right path forward.
PROCESS & LOGISTICS
How does the process start?
Send a brief note with your goals and context. You'll get a reply within 48 hours. If there's alignment, we schedule a 30-minute discovery call to map needs, scope, and fit.
What does an engagement look like?
Focused, structured, and individualized. We define targets, assess the landscape (habits, stressors, context), build a plan, train it, and adapt. Sessions are typically weekly or bi-weekly at first—cadence adjusts with season and pressure.
How long do clients usually work with you?
Long enough to build something that lasts. Many engagements run 3–6 months. Some stay on retainer through a season, transaction, or major transition.
Do you work virtually or in person?
Both. Most clients meet virtually due to travel and season demands. In-person sessions are available in the New York/New Jersey area and can be arranged for teams, intensives, and select engagements in other locations.
What does a typical session look like?
Sessions are focused and collaborative—not lectures. We work on specific challenges you're facing, practice new approaches, test strategies in real-world conditions, and debrief what worked and what didn't. The format adapts to your needs: individual coaching, performance analysis, scenario work, or preparation for high-stakes moments.
COST & POLICIES
What does it cost?
Individual engagements are typically structured as 3-month or 6-month commitments to allow for meaningful depth work. Fees depend on scope, format, and engagement structure. Pricing is shared after the discovery call to ensure the right fit for what you're working toward.
Do you take insurance?
No. This is performance consulting/coaching, not a clinical service, and is not insurance-eligible.
What's your cancellation policy?
48 hours notice required to reschedule or cancel. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged in full due to reserved time and limited availability.
Do you offer payment plans?
Payment structures are determined based on scope and duration. We'll discuss options during the discovery call to ensure the arrangement works for both parties.
SCOPE & COLLABORATION
Do you work with teams and organizations?
Yes—through The Antifragile Academy. We design consulting and training to strengthen leadership, culture, and performance under pressure.
Do you work with minors?
Yes—selectively with athletes and performers 16+, with parent/guardian involvement and alignment with coaches/medical staff as appropriate.
Will you coordinate with my coach, PT, or physician?
When helpful and permitted, yes. Integration across coaching, medical, and performance staff improves outcomes. We'll set boundaries and communication channels up front.
What assessments do you use?
Only what fits the problem: structured interviews, 360-degree feedback, performance profiling, selective inventories (attentional style, confidence, recovery), and situational observation. Assessments are tools, not the work itself.
How do confidentiality and ethics work?
All one-to-one work is confidential within legal and ethical limits and any team/organizational agreements. I adhere to AASP and ICF ethical standards. For minors and team projects, we'll define information flow explicitly at the start.
What credentials and certifications do you hold?
I'm a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology and Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation. I also hold certifications as an Exercise Physiologist (EP-C) and Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), plus a Licensed Associate Counselor credential (LAC) in New Jersey. I hold a Ph.D. in Kinesiology and an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
OTHER SERVICES
Do you offer one-off sessions or intensives?
Yes. Intensives (half-day, full-day, or multi-day) are available for pre-competition resets, leadership inflection points, or high-pressure transitions. One-off consultations can be arranged when appropriate, though sustained engagement typically produces better outcomes.
Are you available for keynotes, panels, or media?
Yes—on performance under pressure, leadership, antifragility, and the psychology of sustainable excellence. Topics include the integration of physiology and psychology, unconscious patterns in performance, and building systems that hold under pressure.
Can I see examples of your work or client testimonials?
Due to confidentiality agreements with professional athletes, executives, and organizations, I don't publish testimonials or case studies. References can be provided during the discovery process when appropriate.
What if I'm in crisis or experiencing a mental health emergency?

QUESTIONS ABOUT FIT
How do I know if this approach is right for me?
If you're experiencing performance issues that tactics and routines haven't solved, if you're stuck in patterns you can't break, or if you're navigating high-stakes transitions—this work is likely a fit. The discovery call will clarify whether the approach matches your needs.
What if I've worked with other coaches or sport psychologists before?
That's common. Many clients come to me after working with other consultants. The difference is the integration of physiology, conscious performance work, and unconscious pattern work. If previous work stayed at the conscious/tactical level and didn't hold, we may need to work deeper.
What if I'm not ready to commit to 3-6 months?
If you're facing an acute challenge or want to test the fit before a longer engagement, intensive sessions (half-day or full-day) can provide concentrated assessment and breakthrough work. Many clients begin with an intensive, then continue with structured engagements if the approach fits.
Do you work with people outside the U.S.?
Yes. Virtual sessions accommodate international clients across time zones. In-person work outside the U.S. can be arranged for teams or intensive engagements.
